Hi,

I’m Samira, a thirty something first time mum to Baby Yusuf, who came into our world in 2016. In the hope of capturing my memories of being pregnant and the first 9 months of motherhood, I started this blog.

Here you’ll find my stories on anything related to being pregnant, a new mum, mine and the baby’s style, and general life around London. I’ll also share my advice on practical things like how I chose my buggy, or what to pack when you go on holiday (that probably needs its own blog!). I’m kind of doing this in retrospect, a bit like a memoir, so may take me a while to write everything I want to write about. I’ve only just rediscovered sleep, hence now I have some time to actually do this.

I live in Ruislip in North West London and work for an online fashion company. When not working (work is currently ‘being a mum’) I’ll either be at a fitness class, cooking in my fab new kitchen (which is actually a year old but still feels new), catching up with friends in Soho, dreaming of my next holiday, scrolling through inspire_me_home_decor and thelensbible instagram accounts or watching Game of Thrones.
